Bioethanol Fireplaces
Bioethanol, also known as "ethanol," serves as the environmentally friendly, renewable energy source that powers our fireplaces. It is derived through the fermentation of plant-based materials like sugar cane, potatoes, sugar beets, and cereals, among others. This eco-conscious fuel source is 100% green, showing utmost respect for the environment and making no contribution to global warming. Hence the moniker "bio" ethanol.
At first glance, you might have concerns or reservations. However, it's worth noting that these are the very products produced by our own breathing. This unique aspect contributes to the cleanliness and completeness of the combustion process when using bioethanol. Notably, bioethanol fireplaces typically require no chimney or complex piping systems. This design ensures that a significant portion of the heat generated during bioethanol combustion remains in the room, maximizing efficiency.
SAFETY
Kasted is dedicated to providing exceptional fireplaces. We have established a stringent set of procedures and assessments that focus on examining the performance, security, and environmental aspects. Our primary objective is to consistently enhance our management systems for quality and sustainability. Prior to finalizing the readiness of our fireplaces for use, a comprehensive design assessment is carried out to ensure maximum adaptability and performance. This involves a meticulous evaluation of various criteria, with a strong focus on stability, which subsequently undergoes analysis and assessment:
1. Inclination - Tilt tests are conducted to gauge the susceptibility of fuel spillage or the risk of the fireplace toppling over.
2. Assembly - We strictly adhere to assembly instructions outlined in our manuals, which are derived from rigorous tension tests to ensure a secure and effective installation. This is especially critical for wall and ceiling-mounted fireplaces to prevent any mishaps.
3. Impact Resistance - To account for accidental impacts or shocks, we conduct shock tests to assess a fireplace's vulnerability and its response to sudden force.
Our testing procedures are conducted both before and after fireplace installation, as specified in our manuals. These evaluations encompass flame performance and temperature assessment on fireplace surfaces and adjacent walls, especially in the case of wall-mounted fireplaces.
Our testing methods also outline specific measures to be taken if results fall outside the parameters defined by our Quality and Environment Policy. These measures encompass aspects such as temperature (on fireplace surfaces and adjacent walls in wall-mounted fireplace scenarios), CO and CO2 concentrations, and the analysis of fuel characteristics pre- and post-combustion to determine fluidity and density.
At Kasted, our commitment to quality and environmental preservation has been embedded in our approach since our inception. We strive to meet the following core objectives: Design & Innovation, Customer Satisfaction, Product Quality, and Environmental Preservation.
In recognition of environmental concerns, we have actively implemented a range of measures and sustainable practices to promote the rational use of energy resources, reduce emissions, and ensure proper waste management.
